İnsanoğlu, bugüne kadar yaşamış kuşaklardan daha avantajlı bir noktaya ulaşmayı başarmıştır. Binlerce yıldır çözülmeyen sorunlara bilimsel yöntemler geliştirmiştir. Kendine güvenli şehirler yaratmış ve hastalıklardan korunmasını ya da tedavisini sağlayacak yöntemler bulmuştur. Ancak, halen kendi eliyle yarattığı eşitsizlikler için akılcı ve bilimsel bir yöntem bulamamıştır ve geliştirememiştir. Geride bırakılan çeyrek yüzyıl boyunca, küresel rüzgârların etkisi ile sağlık sistemleri dönüştürülmektedir. Reform olarak sunulan bu dönüşümde ulus devletler sağlık hizmeti finansmanı ve sunumundan çekilmekte olup piyasa yeni hizmet sunucularına (tedarikçilere) devredilmektedir. Yaşanan dönüşümün gerekçelerinden birisi de eşitsizliklerin giderilmesidir. Ancak bugüne kadar kazandığımız tecrübeler, göstergelerin küresel olarak iyileşmesi illüzyonuna rağmen, dönüşümün eşitsizlikleri azaltmada başarılı olamayacağını bize düşündürmektedir.

Human being has succeeded accessing more advantageous position than past generations. They have also developed scientific methods for insoluble problems for thousands of years. They have established safe cities for themselves and discovered methods to provide protection from diseases or treatment for themselves. However, they couldn’t find and improve a rationalistic and scientific method for the inequalities created by their own hand. The health care systems have been transformed into an obscurity with the impact of the global winds for the past quarter century. During this transformation presented as a reform, nation-states have been take off the market of health care financing and delivering and the market has been transferred into new suppliers. In addition, one of the reasons for this transformation is to eliminate inequalities. However, our experiences that we have achieved so far have made us think that this transformation can not be successful in reducing inequalities, despite the illusion of global recovery of health indicators.
