İçinde bulunduğumuz günlerde çocuğa yönelik cinsel suçlar ve çocuk istismarı vakaları ülkemizin önemli bir gündemidir. Başta çocuk ve gençler olmak üzere, yaşanan bu olaylar her yaştan bireyi etkilemekte, güven duygusunu zedelemekte ve tepki oluşturmaktadır. Türkiye’de çocuk istismarının gerçek boyutlarına ilişkin elimizde kesin veriler bulunmamaktadır, ancak buzdağının görünen kısmında dahi olsa büyük bir artış yaşanmış, basılı ve sosyal medyada da Türkiye’deki çocuk istismar vakaları haberlerinde büyük bir artış görülmüştür. Günümüzde medya aracılığı ile bütün haberler anında toplumun her kesimine ulaşabilmektedir. Medyanın bilgiye ulaşma ve bilgiyi yaymadaki rolü göz önüne alındığında, toplumsal farkındalık yaratmak için medya önemli bir kaynak olabilir. Ancak cinsel istismar haberlerinin medyada yer alış biçimine ilişkin herhangi bir kriter bulunmamaktadır. Medya ve şiddet ilişkisi göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, bu haberlerin kontrolsüzce basılı ve sosyal medyada yayılması olumsuz sonuçlar doğurabileceğinden bu konu dikkatle irdelenmelidir. Bu çalışmada çocuğa cinsel şiddet ve medya ilişkileri incelenecektir.

Nowadays, child sexual abuse and sexual off enses against child are an important agenda for our country. Especially, including children and young people in particular, experienced these events are aff ected to the individuals of all ages, it is damaging the confidence and seems the formation reaction aganist it. There is no accurate data prepared by goverment in Turkey about child sexual abuse and sexual off enses against child by goverment. We do not know its actual size. However, in the last time some news about it has been spreading rapidly by journalist that works on the printed and social media, it shows us this event will be huge size. Now, it was written only the tip of the iceberg, the rest of it will be seemed and observed on the next time regarding social media of Turkey. Today, all the news through the media has instantly accessible to all sections of society. Given the media’s access to information and the role of dissemination of public information, it can be an important source media to create public awareness, but there is no way a criterion on the involvement of the media reports of sexual abuse. When scrutinized about this type of news that are printed by the uncontrolled spread of the news and social media negative consequences, the relationship between media and violence, should be examined carefully. This work will be investigated about child sexual violence and media relationships.
