Bu makale, Türkiye’de din ve siyaset arasındaki ilişkinin tarihsel dinamiklerinin gelişimine ilişkin analitik bir çerçeve sağlamayı hedefl emektedir. Bir yandan Osmanlı Devleti’nin başlangıcından itibaren, dinin Türk ulusal kimliğinin oluşumu ve farklı dönemlerdeki toplum mühendisliği süreçlerindeki kritik öneminin açıklanmasına gayret edilirken, diğer yandan egemen eğilimin aksine, dinsel alanın siyasetin gerekleri doğrultusunda nasıl düzenlendiği sergilenecektir. Yazının temel amacı, sağlık çalışanı okurlar için, Türkiye’de dinin siyasal etki düzeyinin gerekçeleri bu ilişkinin kültürel, toplumsal ve siyasal arka planına ışık tutulmasıdır.

This article intends to provide an analytical framework about the development of the historical dynamics of the relation between religion and politics in Turkey. While on the one hand it tries to explore the critical position of religion during the formation of the Turkish identity and the social engineering practices in various periods since the beginning of the Ottoman State, on the other hand, in contrast to the hegemonic understanding, the manipulation of the sphere of religion by the politics will be displayed. The main goal of the article is to shed lights on the reasons of the infl uence of the religion on politics and cultural, social and political background of this relation to the medical professional readers.
