TTB-ODSH Kolu, olağandışı durumların sağlık hizmetleri ve toplum sağlığına etkilerini neden–sonuç ilişkisi içinde inceler ve elde ettiği sonuçları kamuoyuna duyurur. Son depremler, modern Türkiye tarihinin en yıkıcı depremleri olmuştur. Olası bir İstanbul depremini bekler ve Kol içinde buna nasıl hazırlanacağımızı tartışırken, Şubat Maraş ve Hatay Depremlerinin yıkıcılığı karşısında ne devlet kurumlarının ve ne de toplumun hazır olmadığı görüldü. Bölgede en fazla zarar gören şehirlerde çeşitli saha çalışmaları yaptık ve bunları raporladık. Bu esnada eski ve yeni çeşitli sorunlarla da karşılaştık. Bu yazıda bu konuları tartışmaya çalıştım.

The late earthquakes were the most devastating ones throughout the modern history of Türkiye. Although we in our workgroup have been discussing how close and possible an Istanbul earthquake was how to cope with, it turned out we were not ready enough, before the appaling scope and consequences of the February Eartquakes of Maraş and Hatay. Neither the state agencies, nor the society. However we tried our best and performed multiple field studies in the most devastated cities of the region, in which we encountered a number of hardships, old and new. In this article, I will try and discuss on those and how we tackled them.
