Günümüz Türkiye’sinde siyasal durumdan söz ederken “faşizm” kavramına müracaat etmek, muhalif çevrelerde giderek yaygınlaşan bir eğilim hâlini aldı. İktidar partisinin İslamî referansları ise vurguyu ister istemez “İslamo-faşizm” söylemine yöneltiyor. Ancak genellikle Batılı sağ çevrelerde tüm siyasal İslam, hatta tüm İslam’ı damgalamada başvurulan bu terimi ihtiyatla kullanmak gerekiyor. “İslamo-faşizm”terimi, faşizmin tanımlayıcı özellikleriyle uyumlu olarak, egemen sınıfın bir kesiminin İslamcı söylem ve pratikleri kapitalist sermayeye erişmek, onu temellük etmek amacıyla devlet üzerindeki denetimini yoğunlaştırmak, toplumun deklase unsurlarını kendisine yönelik tehditleri izale etmek üzere seferber etmek amacıyla kullanması durumunda ilişkinleşmektedir. Günümüz Türkiye’sinde olan budur. Kadınlar ise hem ucuz emek kaynağı olarak yükselen İslami burjuvazinin kârının maksimizasyonunda, hem de ataerkil güruhların iktidar partisi ardında saf tutmasında bir motif durumundadır.

“Fascism” increasingly seems to be the most convenient concept to describe the political situation in Turkey to most of the opposition. The Islamic references of the party in power render allusions to “Islamofascism” all the more attracting.But one should be cautious in using this term frequently abused by Western right wing politicians to refer to the whole of political Islam and even to ordinary muslims. The term becomes relevant only when used to refer to the Islamist rhetoric and practice used by a section of the dominant class to intensify control over the state apparatus in order to reach and usurp capital, and to mobilize the underclass elements for the rmoval of threats directed to its interests. This is what actually is happening in Turkey.Women are but a motive in the maximization of profit as a source of cheap labor fort he rising Islamic bourgeosie, as well as in the mobilization of patriarchal mobs behind the party in power.
